Hi there! I’m Aniqa
My very first job was in Banking. I had studied Finance so naturally the next thing to do was build a career in the same industry.
Very early into the role I knew that it wasn’t for me. Not knowing better at the time, I brushed the feeling aside and continued on with the thought that I would eventually grow to like it. Time went by but that did not happen. There was a certain incongruence and lack of fulfillment.
Fast forward a few years, I took the plunge and moved on to an entrepreneurial journey.
What an incredible experience! It taught me immensely about self-management and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I learnt a lot about managing a business and about myself.
I always loved whipping things up in the kitchen and with the encouragement of family and friends, I decided to switch my side project to a full-time business and set up a bakeshop focusing on bespoke bakes for special occasions. It was fun, challenging and so rewarding to make someone’s special day even more special with one of my creations.
While baking and spreading happiness one sweet treat at a time was joyful and rewarding, over time I still found myself questioning what else I could do. Something still felt missing and incomplete. I was passionate about many things but none of them felt compelling enough to create a purpose driven life.
I took the time to focus on myself. I asked myself tough questions, faced the things that had been holding me back and challenged myself to change. It took strength and vulnerability. Soon enough, things started to change and for the first time, I found clarity. And with that came my purpose. I was clear on where I was, what I truly wanted moving forward and felt wholly connected to it.
A deep desire towards helping others was uncovered. Not just in any way but in a way that would empower them. I rediscovered life coaching and it’s standpoints and philosophy resonated with my beliefs and values about human potential.
After speaking to many life coaches and learning about their journey and what inspired them to take on this path, I could not be more certain that this was what I wanted.
I took the leap to start a new jour ney. A journey focused on empowering people to see their capabilities and support them as they navigate through change towards achieving their goals and dreams.
What started as me redefining my own life led me to helping others do the same.
Which brings me to my role as a Life Strategist.
When it comes to doing something you are passionate about, “no” is not an option.
There are many words to describe a coach these days – life coach, executive coach, business coach, and a dozen others.
The way I see it, our personal lives are not independent of our professional lives and vice versa. And so things are never really isolated. While initially the topic of discussion is specific, there is often more to address leading to an exploration of other areas. The focus is on the person and their life as a whole.
A huge part of coaching involves setting goals and determining action steps to achieve those goals.
Together we strategize your life and how you want to live it.
Some days it involves a trip to my favourite lifestyle stores where I am surrounded by beautiful trinkets, stationery and other surprises.
Whether it’s styling flatlays, snapping pictures or designing, I find myself instantly refreshed after some creative time.
Travelling is such a great way to disconnect and experience the world outside everyday life. There is so much all around to be inspired by in a different place from it’s people, food and way of life.
I absolutely love to cook. It’s the perfect way for me to de-stress. Being a foodie, I believe in eating well always and always, whether it’s simple or fancy, homemade or dining out.
Books bring me so much joy! Something as simple as a cup of tea with a good book in hand is gratifying.
Getting outdoors for a long walk with fresh air, the sun and lots of green all around. My favorite way to take a pause, create space and reset.
